ABOUT US

The Scientific Institute of Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies (SIPDS) is headed by Hurevych Roman Semenovych, Professor, Full member (Academician) of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Academician of the National Academy of Higher Education and Sciences of Ukraine, Honoured Education Worker of Ukraine. Candidate of historical sciences, Associate Professor, Dolynna Anna Serhiivna is the Head of the Department of Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies. Training of scholars in a number of fields is provided by key scientists including two Academicians, one Full member of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, thirty-seven Doctors of Sciences, and fifty-six Candidates of Sciences.

The activities of the Institute include:

  1. substantiating the scientific component of six scientific agenda as well as ten PhD programmes;
  2. activities of the dissertation committee D 05.053.01 in the realm of the following areas of research: 011 Educational, pedagogical sciences (13.00.01 and 13.00.07), as well as 015 Vocational education (by specializations) (13.00.04);
  3. dissertation committees are made up in order to conduct the defending of PhD thesis in ten areas of studies;
  4. the collection of research papers "State-of-the-art IT solutions and Innovative Teaching Methods: Methodology, Theory, Expertise, Issues" (category B) is issued four times per year. Languages: Ukrainian, English.
  5. the research-to-practice conference "State-of-the-art IT solutions and Innovative Teaching Methods: Methodology, Theory, Expertise, Issues" is held biannually. A couple of other research-to-practice conferences of young researchers in various areas of education are also held.

The school of thought of Hurevych Roman Semenovych carries out its activities at the Institute (investigations into theories and principles of vocational training, including those into arrangement of the learning process at higher educational establishments, colleges, and vocational schools; using modern digital technologies in training experts).

The accomplishments of the school are well-known in Ukraine and beyond. Twenty-two doctors of sciences, sixty-nine candidates of sciences, and two doctors of philosophy got their scientific degrees.
